Is your home bar stuck in the past? Just like the retired couple of Palm Aire in Sarasota we recently worked with, you might have an outdated space that no longer fits your home’s style. Their 1980s wet bar, with its European-style almond cabinets and frameless glass doors, didn’t match the classic aesthetic of the rest of the house. This frequently used entertaining area needed a complete transformation to become a cohesive part of their living space.
The Before
A Seamless Design for Modern Entertaining
Although their wet bar was not directly in the kitchen, it needed to coordinate perfectly with the main kitchen remodel. We replaced the old cabinetry with new custom cabinets in our Stressless Simplicity door style, finished in a rich Coffee stain on maple. To create a seamless flow, the new design incorporated seafoam green solid surface countertops and backsplash tile, tying the bar to the main kitchen’s new look.
Clear glass inserts in the cabinet doors provide the perfect display for glassware and barware, adding a touch of elegance. A small, functional stainless steel bar sink completed the transformation, making the space both beautiful and practical. The final result is a stylish and inviting custom home bar that perfectly complements the home’s traditional style and meets the needs of a couple who loves to entertain.
